One point made is to seek assurance about EU structural funds. The Government has made several statements about the current programmes, such as this one from the Chancellor.
Robert Courts says that continuity of funding for important projects and small business, is essential. However, business also says to me that a real problem with EU funding has been its complexity and the delays that have occurred to bring it about. Now we are leaving the EU, let us hope that support for business and access to finance is made much more straightforward, particularly for smaller businesses, which are the lifeblood of the British economy.
