I spoke in the Urgent Question debate about unaccompained child refugees. Of course the UK should take refugees, however local councils need to have the resources to look after the children, families and adults they take. This does not just mean money, but other resources such as translators.
I worked personally on the resettling of six Syrian families in West Oxfordshire as a District Councillor and took this opportunity to bring the Home Secretary's attention to all the fantastic work carried out in our area.
