Announcement on Potholes in the Spring Budget

Fantastic news announced in the Chancellor’s Spring Budget on potholes.

Oxfordshire will receive £3,706,000 to repair our roads after the winter weather. This is part of £700 million given nationally which includes a £200 million rise in investment from last year.

In the lead up to the Spring Budget I wrote to the Chancellor to ask for more funding to tackle the backlog of potholes currently blighting our roads not only in Oxfordshire but across the UK. I am therefore delighted by the Chancellor’s announcement today to increase funding for potholes.
