Robert said: "Parliament has now adjourned for Summer Recess - but that does not mean that I'm jetting off on a summer holiday! Instead I'm back in West Oxfordshire - yes, spending some time with my family - but also out and about meeting local residents.
During his first parliamentary questions session with MPs, new Prime Minister Boris Johnson was asked by Robert to join him in paying tribute to the “very hard and excellent work” done by everyone at RAF Brize Norton.
Robert said: "Proud to speak up on behalf of West Oxfordshire's small and village schools in yesterday's Westminster Hall debate. Village schools are the heart and soul of rural life, ensuring our communities thrive and providing the next generation with high-quality local education.
Robert has added his name to a cross-party group of MP’s who have written to Home Secretary Sajid Javid calling for the abolition of visa fees for Commonwealth servicemen and women in the British armed forces.
