More detail has been published today following the Prime Minister's address to the nation last night.
It's a 50-page document and so, whilst I have included a link to it below, I have set out the main points here, with links to where you can find out more.
As the graphic below shows, this is intended to be a phased approach, with steady steps back towards a more normal life, provided that the virus's infection rate continues to decline as is hoped.
The amendment of the measures apply from Wednesday, and will mean that you:
can go outside for exercise more than once;
can meet one person from outside your household, provided that is in a public place and you keep the two-metre distance - i.e. one person meeting one person;
should continue to work from home if at all possible but if you cannot, you should look to go to work in certain sectors, ideally not by public transport;
are advised to wear face coverings in certain circumstances;
There are further steps hoped to be taken in stages in June and July.
