Robert Supports 'Cycling Without Age' Initiative

Robert said: "Every now and again someone has an idea that is so well thought out and beneficial that we just have to make it happen.

"I met with constituents and representatives of Cycling Without Age Oxfordshire recently. The concept could not be more simple. They provide specially built and equipped trishaw bicycles and work with volunteers to take people within our communities - perhaps the elderly, for example - out on bicycle rides.

"From a therapy perspective: fresh air, memory-building, reducing isolation & loneliness - there are so many benefits to this scheme, which is why it’s a worldwide success.

"Now we just have to have one in Witney, and we need some volunteers to get involved, and we’ve seen recently how effective that can be.
