Robert was out fundraising for Thames Valley Air Ambulance this Bank Holiday Monday at the Swinford Toll Bridge. Robert has volunteered with the TVAA for a number of years, and is always keen to help out when he can for this excellent charity.
Robert said, "Absolutely beautiful day for Carterton’s May Day Fete, and great to see a really strong showing from the West Oxfordshire Conservatives Carterton team - Michelle Mead, Maxine Crossland, Nick Leverton, Martin McBride & Jill Bull.
"For many of our rural communities, buses are a lifeline for local residents to get to work, school, to appointments and to see friends and family. Buses also help to relieve congestion on our roads, which is, as we all know, a major concern for the Combe area, especially with regards to the A40
Robert said, "I greatly enjoyed the chance to meet with parish councillors in Black Bourton - we discussed everything from speeding and potholes to local community events. Thank you to all those that took the time to meet with me."
Robert said, "It was a pleasure to meet all the students and staff at the college, and to learn about this exceptional training facility which attracts students from all over the world to Witney. Thank you all for taking the time to show me around."
Robert said, "This is an extremely important set of proposals about the future of community transport, and I look forward to the Government's response in due course."
