Robert Welcomes Improvements to Local Rail Services

Thursday, 12 September, 2019

Robert said: "We've seen significant improvements to local rail services in recent years, with additional car parking provision, platform extensions, upgraded facilities, world-class new trains - and a staff presence at Hanborough Station for the first time in over 50 years. There's even more to look forward to, with a new timetable coming soon that will deliver more frequent services on the Cotswold Line.

"There's still more to do: we need further redoubling of the Cotswold Line to improve reliability and I want to see a second platform at Hanborough brought into commission - together with more co-ordinated bus services - to truly make it West Oxfordshire's public transport hub.

"I'm determined to build on the superb progress we have made and deliver further improvements for passengers."
