Following pressure from Robert, last year Thames Water agreed to fund an independent report into the much-publicised turbidity issues affecting the River Windrush.
Robert has welcomed today’s Government announcement that measures to reduce sewage discharges from storm overflows will be put into law, as part of an ambitious agenda to build back greener from the pandemic.
Robert was among the first people tested at the new symptom-free Covid-19 testing centre in Carterton. He was visiting the site as it prepares to open its doors for the public on Monday 29th March.
Thames Valley Police to launch new Rural Crime Taskforce later this year
Following funding from the Police & Crime Commissioner, allocated in the 2021/22 budget, Thames Valley Police are launching a new Rural Crime Taskforce later this year.
Robert said: "I have campaigned for some time to build an integrated transport network in West Oxfordshire - with buses playing a key role in this coordinated system.
Robert said: "I was pleased to safely visit Clanfield Sewage Treatment Works with local residents this morning. It was important for me to visit the site first-hand to fully understand the severity of this issue.
